Govt to arrange up to Rs160 bn for wheat purchase: Tarin
Updated at: 1949 PST, Wednesday, March 04, 2009 ISLAMABAD: The federal government is ready to arrange up to Rs160 billions for purchase of wheat from farmers, the Finance Adviser Shaukat Tarin said Wednesday.Speaking to media after attending a high-level meeting about wheat here, he said that central bank would provide assistance to banks in paying good price to the farmers for their wheat.
